Meet
our man Charlie Bird Parker. Charlie came to us as a nine-month-old a
friend of ours had rescued. We were seeking a cat that would do well with our
nine-year-old mastiff. And with him, we hit the jackpot. He immediately
befriended our 90 pound (40.8 kg) dog Grace and with in days was exploring and
integrating himself into our lives. He loves to hide out in Dad's dresser
drawers, and is quick to let you know when it's dinner time by talking
nonstop while parading along the back of the sofa, often swatting you with
his tail as he goes by your head.
He is friendly and loving with the family and regularly wakes his sister
Grace from a sound sleep just to see if she'll give chase. He's reserved with
company but does have his people friends that he comes out to greet when
their visiting.
The bond between Charlie and our dog Grace has been amazing and humbling to
watch develop. Grace injured her back last winter and was restricted to the
main level of our home; through out that week if you needed to find Charlie
he was curled up in bed right beside her.
I truly believe his presence has brought new life to my senior dog and we
humans love sharing our life with him and watching him grow up.
We are glad to show off our Charlie Bird to the world.
