My
kitten's name is Marley, and he is a wonderful kitten. We adopted
Marley from a no kill shelter, Pet Refuge. We had lost our two
thirteen-year-old cats very unexpectedly in October. As our grief passed I
started searching the internet for kittens and one day stumbled onto a
posting at Pet Refuge. They had a litter of five very cute kittens
looking for homes. Thinking that I was probably too late, I filled the
application out anyway. To my surprise they called me the next day and
wanted to know if we could come look at the kittens that night.
I had shown the internet pictures to my husband and he agreed to go
take a look. Needless to say it was love at first sight. We picked up
Marley and his brother Max and agreed to take them both. And after
waiting what seemed like the longest five days of my life they came home
with us in November of 2013.
Marley is such a sweet loving boy. He likes to be close and the closer
the better. He loves laps and better yet laying around your neck. He
purrs extremely loud anytime he is picked up or petted. He is very
energetic and loves plastic springs and balls, anything he can pick up
in his mouth and carry around. He also loves to sit at the door and
watch the birds. He loves his brother Max and the two enjoy "kitty
wrestling" matches every morning and night. Marley also seems to like
playing in water and just getting into everything. He is very curious.
Marley (and Max) are a gift we found when we needed them most. I still
believe is was truly meant to be. I thank Pet Refuge for the care they
give in saving these boys for us and all of the animals that they help
and save, they are truly very caring, loving people.
