Yuuki the Tuxedo Shorthair
Name: Yuuki
Age: Eleven years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Tuxedo Shorthair
Home: Inglewood, California, USA

Yuuki is the name I was given by my karate instructor. It means a person who takes on big things. I named my cat the same. The problem I have is that my cat likes to take on big things and he always loses. I have spent thousands of dollars (like all of us do) at the vet patching him up after a fight. He got in another one while I am writing this story. I had to use a hose to separate them. The pictures enclosed have Yuuki wearing the "lamp shade of shame." My nickname for him is Muhammed Yuuki. Unfortunately his fight record is 0-78.

His main foe is a cat named Leonardo two houses down. They look exactly alike except Leonardo has a collar with a bell. We call him "Tinkles". What's weird is that they will hang out like buddies, then all of a sudden I have a vet visit. We also have raccoons in the neighborhood. My cats seem invisible to them, they just stroll up, wash their hands in the water dish and chow down on some expensive cat food like they own the place. I'm not sure if Yuuki's last injury was from Tinkles or Rocky Raccoon. He had a deep cut in his ear last time that required 15 stitches, thus the lamp shade of shame.

I have a driveway that is the only entrance to our backyard. I use a motion detector as a doorbell. It picks up cats and raccoons. I also have a camera that I can view through my phone. The cats were inside and I heard a "bing bong", raccoon visitors were busted. I came out with a broom and shooed them through the yard. They jumped on the fence and stared at me. I calmly nudged one. He fell between the fences, you could hear his nails trying to grip as he skidded down. I boinked the other one, it fell over the fence into the pool. My cats just watched. I swear I saw them chuckle.

Yuuki inspires me. I am a cartoonist/animator. I rebuilt the garage into the ultimate Mancave/studio. Instead of spending time on the freeway, I have cat traffic between the back door and the cave. I create all day long with constant visits from my boy. It's amazing what a cat rub can do for your day.

I have decided to start producing coloring books. My Crazy Cat Coloring Book follows the antics of my cat Bailey from years ago. The original drawings were from my sketchbook. He turned toilet paper into a cheerleaders pom-pom, chased mice, moths and lizards. He attacked the dangerous highlighter. The idea is to color the cat like your own. There is also another twist. Each page has a QR link to a popular YouTube video that is relevant to the drawing. If you have a smart phone, you cam scan the code and go to the video.

Download the page with Bailey chasing butterflies. Color it in using crayons, markers, pens, pencils…whatever. The book is designed with one drawing on each page to accommodate marker bleed through. Color in the cat to look like your own. Have fun.

"My Crazy Cat Coloring Book" is available on Amazon. and has its own video on YouTube.
