Here is our cat. His name is Blackjack and he is over 17 years old. We have lots of names for Blackjack - "buddy", "old boy", "boodles" are a few. He is a numismatist (coin collector) - when I get my coins out, he immediately hears them, comes running and plants himself right on top of them ("forget the coins, pet me instead)". He is a loud purrer (and does it all the time) and is also very vocal - seems to have gotten louder as he gets older.
Blackjack sleeps with us and usually goes into the bathroom when I'm up getting ready for work. He is good sized and weighed over 13 pounds at his heaviest but he has slimmed as he ages. When we got him, he was so small that I could hold him in my cupped hands - he has grown up with our children and is much loved by all of us.
