This
is Merry, also known as "little Poot!" Merry was born in my living
room in May 2002 and is five months old in this picture. He has two
brothers and one sister (Frodo, Sam, and Mathilda). Frodo and Sam have
new homes now, but Merry and Mathilda are best buddies, since they're
much too energetic for the two old fogies: mom Josephine and
'Uncle' JC.
Uncle JC is great for snuggling with on the velvet chair (also known as
"the cat chair"), though.
The four kittens each had their own unique quality enabling me to tell
them apart in the beginning, and Merry's special quality is his croaky
voice. Rather than a high pitched little "mew", his sounds more like a
"mow". He is very affectionate, and likes to sit on the bathroom counter
and purr every time I brush my teeth or wash my face. He also likes to
sit on the edge of the bathtub when I have a shower, so he can watch the
water droplets running down the shower curtain. He also likes to chew my
hair when he gets the chance of it - usually when I'm sleeping! Merry
Poot is the coolest little guy and I'm so glad to have him in my cat family!
