Orion
has had big footsteps to step into. He came into our life after
Filou and
Tigris, left us
in June 2010 and September 2009 respectively. Filou had been a friendly
acrobatic funny Abyssinian and when we looked at each other in the days
after his passing we both began to cry. So we looked for a new Aby to
share our lives and were happy to hear that there were some seven-month-old
boys in Salzburg who were looking for their furrever home. When we drove
there we were surprised to see that most of them were blue. Orion's dad
Elias looked very much like Filou and we felt the new kid must have a
chance to be different so we picked little Orion who was curious but
also a little shy.
He is now one and a half year old and these words still describe his
character. Orion is extremely playful and asks for his toys in a cute
little voice. Playing still is the thing he likes most in life. He loves
being on our balcony which is cat proof and allows him a lot of running
and climbing. He won't settle down on your lap but in the night he
sleeps under the covers- or in between the covers so he is our little
lasagna kitty. He got a sister later and he thinks sisters are a pain.
But they are okay for playing tag.
Orion is a tiny boy - he only weighs in at 6.5 pounds. We love him to
pieces - he always makes us smile.
