Oreo
is a wonderful girl, always sitting at the window in want to go out, and
sometimes to come in. She was the runt of a litter of four, and has grown so
fluffy and healthy. She had a tough life with us always pulling her tail and
being bothered by my even younger siblings who knew nothing about being good
to her. Now I'm a Veterinary Assistant and realize how wonderful she is!
She's so well mannered and always there when you get upset. She nuzzles your
leg and gives a lioness purr.
She loves going out on the prowl at night, sometimes even coming back with
dead dragonflies, live frogs, dead leaves, and dare I say Earth Worms. She
always gives them to me as presents. I always have to keep the frog a day or
two just to make sure it's okay before I release it. Oreo always makes me
happy and wants to be on anyone's open lap. She knows how to open doors, even
some that are locked. She is still with one of her litter mates and they
don't really get along unless they both have cat treats dangling in front of them.
When she was five I came home with a friend and she had acted strange. We took
her to the vet and realized someone had shot her foot with a BB gun. The Vet
told us it was best to keep the bullet in because of the position it was in,
so two years after we can still feel it in her foot and she doesn't care or
seem to feel it. What a lucky girl, and we are lucky to have her!
