This
is Kien (also known as Borange, Kornflake or Kee cat). She is a very
special kitty. We found her on Craigslist, needing a home as a young cat. We
had been looking for an orange female cat, but had some trouble. It took us a
while, but when we found her, we knew she would be a wonderful part of our
family. The day we brought her home, she was super sweet to us humans, but
extremely scared of Lily, our other cat. The previous owner said she'd never
seen a cat in her young life, and that she was used to dogs. She even drinks
water like a dog. Talk about being raised by wolves!
It took Kien about a week to get used to Lily, and now they are best friends!
She is an extremely sweet kitty. If you go and sit on the couch, she will run
along and jump on your lap. A single touch to the head and she's a fluffy
orange ball of purrs in your lap. She has a nurturing habit of using her paws
to grab your hand and lick it until she thinks it's clean or has had enough
salt. She often gets into hyper fits and ends up "Kitty Kickflipping" the
wall. She will just look up, with her tail waving back and forth, and jump
high up the wall, then bounce to the nearest wall. It's one of the cutest
things you'd ever see. I've never met a sweeter kitty than Kien. She always
accepts pets and loves, and gives them back too!
She and Lily partake in a really active lifestyle, though she also enjoys a
long nap on my work pants. I take them outside on their own comfortable
harnesses and let them explore the outdoors, but without running to the
street. When I walk into the bathroom, I turn around and Kien is right there
behind me. She knows her brush is in there, and she knows I will fall victim
to her cuteness every time and brush her. She lets out a loud meow if I don't
brush her right away! Her fur is medium length, and she sheds a lot, so a
good brush every day makes her shine!
We think Kien is a gorgeous kitty, with her swirly-markings on her side,
beautiful bronze eyes, and cute little salt-and-pepper colored whiskers. She
is in my lap licking my hand as I write this. She enjoys doing silly things
such as rolling around on her back and chirping at the laser light. She also
likes to lay in the windowsills and sun on her side, sometimes rolling into
weird positions. She chatters when she dreams occasionally, it's quite cute!
She's always got something to say, and lets you know it with either a meow or
a shove by the paw or head.
Kien is the sweetest kitty I've ever met, and I'm very happy that everyone
gets to see her! We love having her in our family, and we will take her with
us wherever we go in life!
