My
cat Luxe is a truly unique "person" as can be seen just here in these few
photo's. Luxe came to me via a breeder in Arkansas, and at that time, there
where only three registered breeders of Ocicats in the United States. Luxe
and myself (Bruce) we live just on the outskirts of Nashville, Tennessee in the
country. Although he looks wild, Luxe is far from being wild, in fact he is
very docile. He knows how to get what he wants and he will persist until he
has won the battle of wills... for the most part. He will tempt you with his
baby eyes, rollover and play coy or just sit right down at the dinner table
like a human to give you the hint that he is hungry.
Luxe is closing in on eight years of age but he still has his moments of
playfulness in him. He likes squeaky toys that look like birds or mice and
occasionally he will even fall for a little catnip. His favorite foods are
tuna, shrimp and sometimes chicken. He knows all too well where his snacks
are and he will guide a person to that cabinet in an effort to coax them into
giving him some goodies.
