Tanner
thinks he's a person! He doesn't come when he hears "Kitty, Kitty."
Instead you just yell, "Tanner!" and he'll come running! He is very nosy,
just like most kids. He wants to look through every bag when I bring
something in, and he loves to get into everything!
He loves to drink fresh water out of running faucets. He also likes to have
water sprayed on him. I thought this would be a way for me to teach him not
to do something, but it backfired on me. He just closes his eyes and loves to
have me spray him with the water bottle. Tanner also has to have his hair
blow-dried every time I dry mine. He gets a quick blowdry and has the most
pleased look on his face.
Tanner loves to eat beef jerky, boiled peanuts, yogurt, potato chips, and
almost any kind of bean. He does not like seafood at all. I've tried him with
tuna, and he gets sick. He turns his head away from salmon and shrimp. He's a
"country boy" and eats the way his mama eats. As soon as I sit down with
food, he runs as fast as he can to jump on the chair beside me.
He just lost his brother, Toby, twelve, this past June. He is very lonely,
and doesn't know it yet, but he's getting another brother next week. I hope
Tanner will be receptive of our new kitten. Tanner is very special and I feel
he will be a good big brother.
