Skitty
was hand picked for her astounding color patterns of orange, white,
and black. I've had multiple cats in the past but never a calico. Calico's
aren't all about the looks, no, our Skitty has proven that they have the
sassy personalities of a true diva cat too! She loves to swipe dog food from
the dog's dish and roll it around, jumping up when it slides to the other
side of the kitchen.
She keeps me up at night doing this and even finds other objects on the
kitchen floor to play with. Since she's our only cat in a family of three
dogs she tends to pounce on them. Of course she doesn't harm them but the
dogs tend to growl at her when she wants to play. If me or my mom/dad walk
around the corner she pounces at our legs. Holding on tightly until we decide
to just keep walking.
She sleeps everywhere. But her favorite place to snooze as of now is either
my bed where she can peacefully stare out the window at the birds or
downstairs in our laundry pantry. (Where we hang clothes and such). I've
snuck down there just to see where she slept and we have a "baby crib" for
baby dolls that she nestles into and sleeps.
Now whenever I go to the bathroom she jumps up onto the sink and curls her
little body into it. Just enough to bend her head down and try to "stalk me"
then she pounces and hits my head with her paw.
Skitty is one big talker!! She meows her pretty little head off every day.
Mostly when I'm eating food and she wants a taste and when she wants me to
pet her to give her "permission" to eat her food. Talk about a big mouth! Oh
and don't forget about her meowing at the door constantly to go outside.
(Sometimes I give in but watch her every move so she doesn't run away or get in trouble.)
In the middle of the night she'll make a funny sound with her throat and jump
onto my bed and shoves her butt in my face. Literally! Until I pet her and
then she jumps down to eat some of her food. It's an endless cycle. She's a
little in between being affectionate and being independent. She only rubs
around me and my mom/dad's legs and strangers she usually tries to stay away from.
Skitty is really special since her name comes from Kitten Pokemon "Skitty".
I'm such a nerd and that pink little kitten is one of my favorites, I just
had to name her after it. Her full name is Skittles, but I normally call her
Skitty. I love her from the bottom of my heart and can't wait to see her grow
up into a marvelous beauty (:
Here is her video, I choose you Skitty!!
