This
is sweet Wilson, h was rescued from the Humane Society. He is very shy
and afraid of the outdoors, but has come to love his siblings a Tortoiseshell
cat, and our pug.
Wilson is extremely introverted. We believe he has never actually been
outdoors. He is terrified of outside, has no desire to exit the house. He is
always very wide-eyed and curious. He mainly avoids all human contact, and
perhaps had been maybe treated poorly in a past-life, unbeknown-st to us. It
took him a few weeks to stop hiding in the basement, but now he loves his
adopted sister-cat Sheeba, and his female pug (Penny). More so Sheeba. They
cuddle, and he actually licks Sheeba's head and cleans her, which we never
thought we would experience.
For the most part Wilson doesn't overly "play" with typical cat toys. However
he received a very amazing cat-toy at Christmas this year, and he is obsessed
with it. It is a wire. Yes - a wire, with rolled up cardboard at either end.
We have fashioned it to a chair, and in the night he will go wild with that
wire, flailing and flopping to-and-fro with his wire toy. It is actually
quite astonishing. His paw-eye co-ordination is magnificent, considering we
actually wondered if he was partially blind when we adopted him, because his
eyes seemed mainly fixated on things, and he rarely looked around much.
Wilson loves to wake everyone up at the crack of 7:00 AM for breakfast by
walking all over you in bed. Jumping up and down on and off of furniture, and
pawing at your face. He is the largest cat we have ever seen or owned by far.
His weight isn't that much, but he is nearly four feet (1.2 m) in length nose to tail.
He can stand on the floor, put one paw on a kitchen chair, and stretch up to
look over the table top, it is quite a sight.
Wilson has become much more vocal since having met his partner-in-crime,
Sheeba. His favourite food - by far Mediterranean Bistro - Tuna flavour, he's
quite obsessed with it!
