This
is our beautiful and beloved cat, Midnight. He
adopted us one night twelve years ago when he appeared at our front door, mewing
to let us become his forever home. He is leash and harnessed trained and goes
out for walks with his "Daddy" every night. He is very intuitive, as one
night we had left our front door slightly ajar to get fresh air. We had
forgotten to close it and lock it and when it was time for us to go to bed,
Midnight walked back and forth from the door to his window seat. At first we
thought he wanted to play, but soon my husband noticed the open door as
Midnight was sitting in front of it and my husband closed it. Then Midnight
went to his window seat and was satisfied that all was as it should be. He
has many intelligent traits as doing high fives and shakes for his meals. He
always has to touch his leash before he is taken for a walk. We love him so
much as he shows us daily his love and always makes us laugh.
We had a previous cat named Benny for fourteen years and lost him some time
ago. We mourned him and never actively looked for another. Midnight is so
special. He understands word commands and he has to touch his dish for his
supper. He also understands "Sit", "High Five", "Shake", & "Sit Up & Beg". He
really knows his "Home" and just what order things must be. He is an indoor
cat, but enjoys his daily yard walks and loves the trees and watching the
squirrels. He truly is the joy of our lives and a beloved member of our family.
