I
named this cat as Mrs. Merfy. She can respond with the sounds of Merfaky,
Merfoulitska or Merfiny. I would like to believe she is a happy cat and our
house provides to her a comfortable life. In order to keep her good shape,
she does her work out every day like climbing on the trees, hunting and
surveillance of the borders with the usual patrol. During sunny days she is
usually lying under the palms or on the hammock. During the cold days she
will keep us company and our feet warm. Her fur is soft like velvet and there
is also warmness in her golden eyes.
She knows that she is the queen of the house, though she is competitive with
my laptop when it is on my lap. She gives us a reason to smile even when a
day is passing with no meaning. She can play with her toys but she will never
act silly. She adores the greek fresh fish like seabream and shrimps and she
accepts the can food only if it is salmon and tuna. Merfy can show an
enormous understanding if requested, but her independence was always my
priority. This cat has decided to live with us for more than fourteen years up to
now and I feel honored by her trust and by her generous and loud purring.
