Lucy
is beautiful ... aloof but precious. She's quite a talker and knows how
to tell us just what she wants - and expects - from us!
After having four cats come to us as strays, Lucy was the first we were able to
pick from a litter of unexpected kitties. Because she was the friendliest who
seemed the most interested in us as an eight week old, we brought her home. She
almost immediately began playing fetch with my husband. She started carrying
small stuffed toys in her mouth and dropping them at his feet to toss. She
would play this for long stretches of time.
She is also our first indoor kitty who is only allowed in the back yard
trailing a leash and supervised. She so wants to be a hunter cat and stalks
the lizards and birds endlessly, however we make sure she never catches them.
She talks up a storm: "I'm hungry," "I want to go outside," "I want to sit in
your lap," "Why are you ignoring me?" She also has that unique Siamese
'chatter' when she sees birds. She is very independant. She does not liked to
be picked up and held, she only wants to be on your lap when she chooses. She
does not like strangers and will sit on her favorite rocker in the bedroom
until they leave.
