Ginger
is a hyper cat who just loves to be right beside me at all times. He
has beautiful coloration and stripes in his fur, he also has one of the most
expressive faces I've seen in a cat. Don't mind the huge pupils in his bowtie
photo, he had just been playing with that catnip mouse!
He is best known in our household as the notorious hair tie thief. We have no
idea how he gets them, we don't leave them out or anything but he finds some
way to get his paws on them. When I leave he cries and waits for me to return
and when I do get back he meows at me for a good long while, it's almost as
if he is lecturing me as if he is saying "where have you been missy do you
have any idea what time it is?" He sleeps next to me every night and he
snores very, very loudly. But, with a face like his it's hard to stay mad at
him for too long.
When I cry he is there to lick my arm and he purrs loudly as if to say
everything will be alright. When I am mad he looks around trying to figure
out what he needs to beat up to make me happy again. And when I am happy he
just wants to be right there beside me. He is also very protective if the
dogs are barking he will growl and run down the hall to make sure everything
is okay and then runs back into my room with a face like "I checked it out!
all clear we can go back to just chilling again." He has another nickname in
our household he is "Sheriff Gingy" if the other cats are fighting he will
run in and pop them both in the face. It truly is funny just watching the way
he goes about his day fussing over every little thing. There are so many
things I love about my cat Ginger, But, my favorite has to be that expressive
face of his that lets me know he cares as much about me as I do about him.
