This
is Grayson (a.k.a. Mr. Puff, a.k.a. The Inspector). We lost our
wonderful Little Bear
in March of 2013 due to cancer, and a few weeks after that we began looking
for another cat or two. We saw Grayson's picture on the website of a local
shelter (Scituate Animal Shelter); he had been returned because the first
owner didn't have time for him. Lucky us! As soon as the shelter worker
handed him to me, me went limp in my arms and purred. The first night he was
with he, he was on his back with his legs spread, obviously his favorite sleeping position.
He's the most laid-back cat we've ever had, yet incredibly curious. He just
has to check everything out. The only time he's not laid back is when he's on
"mouse patrol". It turns out that he's an expert mouser, and has caught many
since he came to live with us.
He has one funny quirk -- a foot fetish! When I get out of bed in the
morning, he maniacally licks and nibbles on my toes. I have to carry him
downstairs so I won't trip over him. He continues to lick and nibble until I
put his food dish down.
Grayson shares the house with his adopted sister, Willow, a Maine Coon lady.
He's a great cat, and we're very thankful to have found him.
