Daisy Mae was a rescue kitty from the pound in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. My husband got her for me on July 14th, 2010, just two weeks before he deployed to Afghanistan.
I was pregnant at the time with my son and even though I had my two daughters living there, having "Miss Mae" around was a real comfort. Even as a kitten she was so loveable.
I don't think I ever really adored a pet like I do this one. Every morning after I take my kids to school she will hop up on the bed
and lay down in between my legs. She also enjoys sitting in the bathroom sink in our Master Bath watching me as I get ready in the morning. She is fascinated
with my makeup box. She loves stealing bites of my oatmeal or nibbling at my peach cobbler and likes to sit on top of my son's TV in his room and spend time with him.
She is a superb "guardian" of the family and even though she never had the chance of being a momma cat, she loves her two younger sisters (Cheeto and Kensington)
like one. I simply cannot imagine our life as a family without her!
