My son and I adopted Skittles and Snickers last July from Baltimore County Animal Shelter. Nobody was interested in them and their time was running out.
My son saw them and said, "I want those two!" We held the kittens and they seemed both sweet and shy, but it was pretty much love at first sight.
They are five-and-a-half months old in these pictures, but are now a year old!
I had no idea how much I'd fall in love with these kittens! Skittles and Snickers are not only beautiful, they are two of the sweetest kittens I've ever met. Snickers is always up for petting and a cuddle. He is the more active and the smaller of the two. Skittles wants attention on his terms but when he does, he's super loving. Both are very vocal. Snickers has a cute kitten meow, while Skittles has a squeaky meow. And, of course, both are very playful.
Both have settled in well and fit in with the adult cats. Each of our cats are special in their own way and I love them all, but these little guys bring sunshine to even the rainiest of days. Oh, and since they are twins, we get them mixed up sometimes.
