Our
cat Shylo is special to us because we found her in the state of Michigan
on a weekend visit to our grandparents. She was a wandering feral stray that
only came to my mother-in-law who was considered highly allergic.
Surprisingly, my mother-in-law took her home with us and to this day everyone
who is allergic to cats is not affected by her at all. We don't know her true
age, but as of late, the vet estimated her at four years of age based on her
teeth. So we decided her birthday would be celebrated on April 1st.
She doesn't know how to meow and only knows how to chirp so imagine yourself
in the kitchen preparing her food and all you hear is "chrip! chirrrrrp chirp
chirp chirp!" We figured she must have been the runt of the litter and only
had birds to teach her how to vocalize. She also doesn't weigh any more then
seven pounds (3kg) and yet the vet concludes that she is fully grown. Her fur is so
soft and she has been a complete blessing to our lives especially after we
had a tragic loss in our family. She has been a wonderful comfort and
reminder to smile even in our darkest moments.
