Hi. My name is Tigress, but my friends call me "Tiggy." This is my box.
I really love it. It holds all my best toys, and me. I'm a very hands-on
and involved, family kind of cat. I like to help my family a lot. Mainly
because I'm a mother, so I know how it is to manage a household. My
kittens are all grown. Now I satisfy my nurturing instinct by taking
care of my human. I help her with her drawings. I help her garden, too.
I'm just kind like that. Besides my box, my favorite thing is the new
disposable cat scratch. Best invention ever! I highly recommend it. Have
a really great day. Don't forget to help a human today.
Mom here - I got Tiggy from a friend at work as a little kitten. She
was giving them away and I thought "Oh, I'll just play with one while I'm
working..." As I ran out the door with her, I couldn't believe I was
actually taking her right then and there because I was leaving after
work to take a five-hour drive to see my daughter in a play. I couldn't
risk another co-worker grabbing her, though, so I took Tigress with us.
She travelled so well, and I knew she was meant for me.
She is not my first cat. Alecia was my BFF for 17 years, until she died.
After Alecia, it was four years before I was ready to let my heart
love a cat again. Between Alecia and Tigress, I did foster kittens and
nursing moms, but I just wasn't ready to put my heart out there until
Tiggy. I'm not sure why she is different, but maybe I was just ready to
love like that again. She is one cat who definitely loves me back. I
think we are just soul sisters!
The last picture is Baby Tigress (at about 8 weeks old) the first day we got her - on our initial 5-hour car ride.
As you can see, she already was quite at home!
