Megsy is a very special cat, I rescued her 18 years ago from a home in the Barossa Valley, where she was about to be put down at 1.00 pm that afternoon. Her previous owner had just gone through a marriage breakdown and could not take the cat into an apartment where he was about to move into. I was working for a security firm and I was scheduled to remove his alarm system when this white cat appeared and jumped onto my left shoulder as I was removing the code pad. Her owner said to me, "Would you like to take her home with you? She seems to be very friendly towards you ..." Without any hesitation I said, "Yes, I would love to." She seemed to know that I was about to save her life, and she sat next to me in the van. As I drove home she hardly moved, sitting alongside me like another little person. He told me she was eight years old at the time.
It was just by chance that I did that particular job first as I had another job to do later that same day. It was destiny that I did that, as I was able to save Megsy's life. Little did I know then, that it was the beginning of a very special 18-year friendship, which I treasured right up to the last day she took her last breath. Megsy and I were inseparable, her love and dedication can not be expressed in words. Her beautiful soul is within my heart, indelibly etched and never forgotten. Here is my beautiful soulmate and sweetheart Megsy. She and the rest of my cat family are shown here.
