I met Minky in 2005 and it was love at first sight! I have not previously owned a cat, so she is my first! She is my first calico, my first cat and my first teacher as to what it means to share one's life with a feline companion.
She is very intuitive, and even 'talks' back when I speak to her. She is usually alone at home during the day and an indoors cat which she has become accustomed to. She is very skittish and does not necessarily like to be held or picked up, yet very loving at the same time. I love her just as she is.
