Meet Her Royal Catage Queen Judith. She rules her realm with an iron claw. Fortunately for her chief drudge (that would be me), she keeps said claw in velvet glove (most of the time anyway). Poor drudge only sees that claw when Herself wants the chair drudge happens to be sitting in. She will wriggle herself between the back of the chair and the back of poor drudge and apply said claw to drudge's hindparts. Naturally, this causes the drudge to very quickly vacate said chair.
Judy is my guardian. Judy was born on October 5, 2010. I have sleep apnea and, starting as a young kitten, Judy would wake me up when I stopped breathing. Five and a half years later she still watches over me when I sleep.
Judy watches ove me in other ways too. My normal routine at breakfast is to start the kettle, refresh her water bowl, take my meds, and the fix my breakfast. One morning, I forgot to take my meds. Judy hopped up on the table next to the shelf where the meds are and meowed to me to remind me that I missed something. One day, I had a fasting lab scheduled which meant no breakfast. On that morning, I went to the kitchen and refreshed her water bowl and took my meds. Then I went to sit down in front of the computer. Judy came and sat down beside the chair and started meowing at me. When I got up to go the kitchen thinking that she wanted me to let her out she sat down by the 'fridge and started meowing at me again. She really hates for me to break routine.
It may or may not have been a great idea for a person my age to take in a baby kitten, but I needed someone to lavish love on. Judy has been one of the brightest spots in my life. Loving a cat is good.
