This is our buddy Inky, also know as Ink-a-Do, Gatto, or Gatto Nero which means black cat in Italian. He is one of the nicest cats we have ever had. He is a little on the shy side, is very beautiful with his big gold eyes and has the softest coat I've ever felt on a cat. He showed up in our flower bed one spring and my husband went immediately and got him some food. He was here to stay. We think he is one of a litter that a stray momma cat in our area had. She has one or two litters a year but we can't catch her to get her fixed. I think all of the others have been victims of our road or the cpyotes we have in our area. So he is a lucky boy to be alive, and we are lucky to have him.
Because of his long hair, we initially would not bring him inside. He and my husband are buddies and Inky follows him around like a dog. Gatto, as the hubby calls him, loves to be in the garage with him. Well, come winter the hubby couldn't take it anymore, and he is now inside with our other cat (Tipper). They love each other and I love to watch them play and sleep side by side. It has been good for Inky to come in and play with Tipper. It has seemed to help him come out of his shyness. He greets us every morning now by jumping up on the bed and we hear a very soft Meow.
Inky is one beautiful boy and we love him.
