Callie and her three siblings were found in really bad shape, and one did not survive. Fortunately, I was able to foster them until they were healthy enough for adoption through Paws Animal Rescue in Alvin, Texas who stepped in to help me when I found them. However, by the time people were filling out applications, we had fallen too in love with all three of them and adopted them ourselves.
Every morning she does a sort of excited purring-chirp when she sees we're awake, runs and throws her whole weight onto us, then flips on her back purring. Her fur is surprisingly soft like a rabbit's, so people enjoy petting her which is great because she loves the attention. When you pet her hind legs and stomach she'll stretch so you can reach easier. She loves to "make bread" on fuzzy blankets and burrow herself in them. She also likes to give and receive kisses, groom my boyfriend's facial hair, and stand like a person or Meerkat for long periods of time.
She's one of the best cats I've ever had, and her litter mates are just as charming and sweet. Each one has a unique personality. I strongly recommend fostering and adopting pets from your local shelter instead of buying them at a pet shop. We are so lucky that Callie (and her siblings Charlie and Cleo) came into our life.
