Our tabby grew up in a shelter, and moved in with us when she was already two years old. After getting to know her, my wife named her van Moorsel after the Dutch cycling champion, but we call her Morsel for short. She has been with us for two great years now and she gets more loveable every day.
The Morsel has classic cat interests and loves bird watching, napping and having a treat. She is very snuggly and malleable and puts up with being moved even if she is sleepy. Although we spoil her with every kind of kitty toy, she loves chasing my wife’s hair scrunchies and chewing on catnip cigars best of all.
The Morsel wakes up each day knowing that it will be better than the last, and her positive attitude is contagious. Even though she blinks with just one eye at a time and a waddles a bit when she walks, she is the perfect cat for us. When the day-to-day gets her people down, she reminds us to give thanks for life, because life is for living.
