Kitty is a very special cat because he is missing one of his back legs but it doesn't keep him from jumping, playing, or cuddling! He lost his back leg at birth; the umbilical cord wrapped around his leg and cut off the circulation to the limb. This all happened before he was even born! When he was born, the leg had already started to fall off and fell completely off less than 24 hours after birth. He doesn't know he is any different from any other cat, thankfully cats don't seem to indulge in self-pity! He is very vocal and loves to lay on the patio and bask in the sun and chase bugs. It's also a huge perk when your cat can't jump on the kitchen counter!
Kitty is very affectionate, but only when he wants to be ... he loves his alone time as much as he loves cuddle time. He comes when I call his name, but pretends not to hear me when he's doing something bad! He absolutely adores having his neck scratched, he even tries to shake the back leg that's missing! I often wake up with him snoring right next to my ear. In one of the pictures you can see the paws of my other cat Marshall behind Kitty. Marshall is older than Kitty, but also a rescue. Marshall and Kitty get along so well, I got very lucky with these two.
