Tina is very special because she has a lot of personality and she's very independent like her mom, but loves to be social after she's done being an introvert.
This is our story ... My roommates and I were foster parents to kittens and Tina was in our third batch. I was used to having kittens around but I've never wanted to have a cat. I thought I would have a dog first and then maybe later get a cat. Basically she was the only one out of six that stayed up late with me and wanted to always be around me. One day she caught my eye because she was sitting in front of her brothers and sisters ignoring them while they were cat fighting and playing behind her. She had her back turned to them and wasn't phased at all. I was sitting on a couch in front of her just thinking about how I am like her in that amongst the chaos I'm always calm. That was the moment I knew she was mine but my roommate at the time didn't want any more animals. We had my guinea pig, five cats and a dog. He said, "No more animals!" So when I named her, he sais, "You're getting too close to the animal."
Well, we were responsible for getting them up to two pounds and spay and neutering them. The weekend came that she had to go back to be adopted. I had already said my prayers over her and hoped that if anybody ever harmed her, that hell and brimstone would rain upon that person. So my roommate asked me if I want to go with him to turn them in, and I said, "No, it's too painful." He called me about an hour later saying, "Well it's the only free adoption weekend of the year so Tina's coming home!" He considered it fate and so did I and we've been together ever since.
