Meggi is now about nine years old. She is a calico, and is probably a mixed breed cat. The history of this cat is very sad. A woman found it together with another cat in a dustbin - someone put them in there like they were trash. Both cats had been ill. The woman nursed the cats and made them healthy again. Then she got them ready for people to adopt.
Eight years ago my grandmother went to this woman and took one of these cats to our home. At this time Meggi was about one year old. She often played with mice.
Now Meggi sleeps most of the day. She is shy, though, maybe because of her sad beginning in life. When I play loudly together with my brother, she gets scared and runs away. Sometimes at night comes a tomcat to visit her, but my grandparents chase it away. We all love Meggi.
