A friend, who has a bucolic soul, likes to go for walks in the countryside around Perpignan, including the paths near the River and Jardins St-Jacques. Thus he spotted a litter of four to five kittens lost or abandoned, which he took to feed daily. One morning he managed to seize a little tiger female with green eyes that he brought me immediately. I named her Fusca, the feminine version of the Latin word fuscus which means brown.
In spite of her feral origin, Fusca quickly got used to apartment life, to the point of showing no desire to leave it. In September I will take her to the veterinary clinic for sterilization and registration, and complete her conversion to a town cat, and an official member of the family. Of course she is already an important family member, that will just make it official. The houseplants may not love her, but we do.
