This is Gretta. Gretta is very special to me. I found Gretta when she was just about five weeks old. I did not realize that her feral mother put her in my shed for safe-keeping. Gretta was in the shed for two full days with no mother before I heard her. She was very tiny. I captured her mother and brought both mother and kitten into my house. The mother nursed Gretta for two more weeks, and then I had her spayed and released.
She has become a very sweet, and much loved family member. She shows no trace of her mother's feral nature, and is a very important member of the family now. As you can see from this photo, Gretta's favorite spot is on top of my grandfather clock.
