I am honoring our cat Shoe. Shoe is male brown tabby cat, with gorgeous green eyes. He is very relaxed and out-going and will come up to greet people as the enter our house. He is a great hunter and he has kept our home completely free of mice! He got his name from his habit of rubbing our shoes with his paws - marking them as his, I guess!
He loves people and demands a lot of "lap time" during the day. He can be quite vocal when he needs to be! He showed up at my parents' house in the middle of winter fourteen years ago, and we decided to take him in. We have been so glad to have him ever since that day.
