I found Jonesy, a.k.a. Mr. Jones, wandering around outside my apartment shortly after I moved in. He was declawed, pretty beaten up, and very hungry. My neighbors had been feeding him here and there and said they had seen a couple move out and leave him on the sidewalk. They couldn't take him because their dog would have hurt him.
It took about four months but Jonesy slowly started coming inside my apartment and he is now a full time "indoor" cat at our house. He sometimes yowls at night to go out, but I think he knows better by now. He is a big laid back boy that just likes to eat and nap. He will come up when you are watching TV and forcefully plop against you as if to say "I'm here, pet me." He stays out of the way of his three other feline siblings and his three canine siblings as well. He would just prefer to nap and go about his lazy ways. He is a sweet and loving addition to our home.
