Kaboodle is seven and a half years old, he was born on June 29th 2011, he is a longhaired tabby cat and lives with me and my family in California.
My cat is special because he has been with me his whole life, and his family has been too, for a long time. Once when I was ten years old, my parents brought home six cats, the two that we kept were Bootsie and Gunther. They had a son named Saki, and on February 12th, we found and rescued a cat we named Lily. She and Saki had four kittens, Benji (who sadly passed away at birth he was choked by the cord) Katrina, Kirby and finally Kaboodle. Katrina and Kirby are now living together with a wonderful family, but Kaboodle stayed with us.
Kaboodle looked like an ordinary tabby at first, but then he started proving to everyone how different he was right away. Even before his eyes opened, he didn't wait and cry for his mom, he would try to crawl out to get to her. While the others were sleeping, Kaboodle would try to explore as much as he could before he was caught. When they opened their eyes, Kirby stayed in bed, Katrina went to explore, while Kaboodle would dash for the food (just like his grandfather). When they began to experience life outside, Kaboodle journeyed to the farthest reached of the backyard, climbing the tallest fruit tree, sneaking in the shed, and traveling under the rotting floor boards of the green house. He also did it all with a perfectly clean coat of fur.
He became best friends with Saki, and sadly grew apart from his mother and step-ather Greg (the neighborhood cat) and when his brother and sister kittens left, he was overwehlmed with sadness. But he then met his new foster brothers and sisters Oreo and Callie (now living with friends) and Angie, Jello, and Paws. Up to this day he has roamed the yards, explored the neighborhood, met new cats, and lost old friends, but he's the same cat, that fluffy friend of mine. And he loves everyone - I bet if you saw him, and you sat down, he would lay on you and he wouldn't leave, he's that trustworthy and trusting. That's just who he is.
