Our tabby cat is named Shadow because she follows us around like a shadow.
Shadow was a stray that adopted us. She is the first tabby cat we have ever owned. We now have a mutual admiration for each other. The vet thinks she is one-to-two years old. She is very affectionate and is a real lap sitter. She often rolls over on her back to have her belly rubbed, as in the picture of her on my lap, lying on her back, so relaxed.
She has a great interest in being "in" things - whether a box, a dresser drawer, or even her cat carrier - anything she can be "in" - she's there. Even the seat of the scooter counted!
She follows us wherever we go in the house, close as a shadow. She just needs to be with us, it is so sweet. We live in Mesa, Arizona, so it was fun to see a tabby that bears the same name - and looks strikingly similar - from Germany featured as Cat of the Day. We love our striped Shadow very much.
