Mhis is George, our tripod (tr-pawed) orangeman - George belonged to my late ex-brother-in-law, whose name was George, and when human George passed away, feline George really needed a home, so we drove to NC and picked him up. He's had a deformed right front leg from birth, per the vets- the upper and lower arm bones don't connect at the elbow, and the paw is permanently clenched- he only has one claw on that paw, which we have to keep trimmed, but he can use the limb to gently touch your face or help him hug you with his good arm.
Thing is, nobody took George aside as a kitten and told him, "You can't do everything other cats can do because of your right front leg"- so, of course, George just does everything like a normal cat! He runs and plays all over the house, climbs cat-trees, jumps on furniture, chases and wrestles with other cats- and he makes sure to take time out of every day to spend some special time hugging us and nuzzling and purring (very loud!) and touching our faces and making sure we know how happy and grateful he is to be here! He's a very special boy, who hasn't let anything slow him down in the slightest! We think George richly deserves to be honored - he's an inspiration to everyone!
