Three years ago we got Khaki after our previous pet passed away. We had forever been "dog people" but Khaki has changed all that for us. We had seen on the Discovery channel a program on ragdoll cats. They were described as having a tender, loving personality and gentle manner. Ragdolls get their name from their tendency to go limp in your arms when you pick them up. We will often times find Khaki laying on her back with each paw aimed in a different direction. As you can see, ragdolls are long-haired cats. What might not be evident from the picture is that Khaki is a rather large cat. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are the largest domestic breeds of cats.
Khaki is a seal bi-color ragdoll. The "seal" part indicates her color, which is dark brown on parts of her face, brownish tan on her back, and white underneath. The "bi-color" part comes from the inverted V on her face. What is funny about Khaki is that whenever she is hiding in a dark lit room, you can't see anything on her except for this little inverted white V. Ragdolls also have large blue eyes. She lives up to every part of the ragdoll's description - loving, sweet and relaxed. As you can see, we are definitely cat people now!
