Sandyballs was bred in Lithuania, where I purchased him from a breeder for about $200. He is a cream classic tabby British Shorthair, although the sleeping picture makes him appear brown in some areas. He's the color of cafe-au-lait in real life. He weighs 10 pounds. He loves to fetch toy mice, always retrieving them and dropping them at my feet. He also loves to be in the middle of any project I'm working on. He even gets in the middle of the bed when I change the sheets.
Sandy likes to be groomed because I think he understands that it prevents hairballs. He's a shorthair cat, but he has an undercoat that feels like a thick rug. When I pet him, my fingers leave tracks, or trails, in his coat.
Sandy is a quiet, well mannered cat who never misbehaves. He has access through wo pet doors to the outside, which he uses freely -- but he never strays from my yard, although he most certainly could. He spends most of his days sleeping inside. He enjoys being near me and my friends and family.
I have never seen Sandyballs threaten anyone, never heard him hiss or growl. However, he once got cornered in the yard by a big, friendly dog and he "made himself big." He's really very much the gentleman cat!
