Mau was born to a stray momma cat who looked like a classic Egygptian Mau, and rescued by me in the summer of 2012. He has a brother Stevie (D.B.) from the same litter, and a "sister" who was rescued also. And while I love all my cats, Mau is extra special.
Mau is my best friend and my service cat. He always knows when I need some love or healing. He lays down on my pillow and and I snuggle him up and he purrs. It has even been scientifically proven that cats purr at a frequency that promotes healing. I don't know what I would do without him.
