Doc's full name is actually Doctor Stupid, a character from "Ren and Stimpy" for anyone who's familiar with that show. He's a Tabby and White domestic shorthair. We named him that because; unlike most cats, he isn't very bright. But I love him all the same, he so cuddly and huggable. He loves to sleep near my head at night, sometimes unknowingly almost smothering me...Haha. He gets pretty grouchy with our other two cats, Felice (almost four months) and Bud (about four years). He's not dominant, but tries his hardest to be.
He's had his close brushes with death as well. When he was about six months old, our family had a pet tarantula (ew, I know.) and he somehow had gotten into the tank and almost got bitten right on the nose. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. That same year we had gone out grocery shopping for Christmas dinner, the tree had been put up the night before. When we came in, we found him fast asleep on his back in the middle branches of the tree. Doc really seems to like his Christmas trees because he's knocked down/pulled over/climbed up our Christmas trees numerous times over the years. He gets himself into a lot of trouble, from getting outside without anyone knowing, to eating string and elastics and getting very sick, he always seems to pull through.
