Simba
is a sweet, lovable, and cuddly feline. Unlike my white kitten,
Sweetie, Simba will let you pet him anywhere. His head, his ears, the
base of his tail, his back, or his belly. As long as you're paying him
some attention, he doesn't mind at all. Aside from that, though, he is a
typical tom cat. He goes out and does whatever a tom cat does. Then he
comes home, eats, and takes a nap. But not after you pet him first. He
was the runt of the litter, being the only pure orange kitten in the
batch. We had originally decided to keep him and his pure black brother,
Panther. But Panther matured a little faster than Simba, wandered off
and hasn't been seen since.
Simba's best non-feline friend is my brother's iguana, Iggy. They
snuggle in my window when they are cold. It is a sort of symbiotic
relationship. Simba kept Iggy warm and Iggy kept Simba cool. Simba
doesn't really get a long with Sweetie all that well, but they tolerate
each other for my sake. Simba knows he was here first and that
technically I'm his purr-son. But Sweetie thinks that Simba is invading
her territory.
Simba has been my big handsome boy for almost two years now. And I don't
know what I'd do without him. I don't think any cat could replace my big
ol' Simba boy.
