Monty
is a very special little boy We want to raise attention to the fact that looking different doesn't mean you can't be fantastic! :)
Monty has a wonderful, unique personality. He is very gentle but is not afraid of anyone or anything he just loves contact. He is very loving and loves to be carried around and sleep in your lap.
Monty was born without a nasal bridge (the bone in the nose) caused by his chromosome abnormalities.
About a year ago we adopted little three-year-old Monty boy from an animal shelter. The previous owner had too many cats and was forced to put some of them up for adoption, one of them being Monty. We were already housing two cats, Mikkel the three-legged cat, and Malle the gentle giant.
The first time we met Monty, there were no doubt in our minds that he was to come live with us. His special appearance makes him look so incredible cute, but his personality, he showed from the very beginning, is rare as a diamond! Monty shared a room with some of the other cats from the animal shelter and even though a few of them acted a little aggressive and lashed out at him, Monty continued to lay there calm and quiet, uneager to participate in a fight.
Monty's been living with us for about a year now and we have to admit that it hasn't always been easy. We have been through a lot with the little guy due to his chromosome abnormalities. Monty was born without a nasal bridge (the bone in the nose) which affects him now and then and makes him sneeze a bit. Monty also has a tendency to urinate in his sleep due to a leaky/loose bladder. He is unfortunatlye unaware of these incidents, which makes him embarrassed when he realizes is has happened, so we are struggling to encourage him not to be, since this is a problem he can't fix and have to learn to live with. This also means that I've become close friends with my washing machine :)
Monty is a very gentle cat and his personality reflects that. If he in rare cases gets nervous or doesn't like a certain someone, he'll let us know with a simple meow and never his claws! Monty is almost never afraid, he even loves being at the vet, such a brave little fella. But when it comes to love, nothing reaches the love he's got for Malle and Mikkel, their playtimes and care for one another, a great match indeed!
