Lune
has the glory of being my first ever deaf cat. No one wanted him because
of this, and that's kinda how I stumble across him in an ad. I guess no one
wanted a "broken" cat. I mean, how can anyone not fall in love with such a
little charmer?
Luckily for me, I love "broken" things, and he soon after became the new
member in the home to keep my old cat company. I soon learned that a deaf cat
is a little different than having an older cat with hearing. I can't yell at
him when he does anything wrong, and well he doesn't always notice when I
come home. He is like any other cat though, maybe even a bit more fearless as
he does't hear the sounds around him.
It's also kinda fun to see him wonder how on earth I catch him doing things
when he knows I am not looking. Or when he tries to "stealthily" pounce my
older cat, and he makes so much noise with his feet when he does it, that she
just steps away every time. That really great "But how the heck?" look he
gives then is just precious.
Lune is also named after the prince in "The Cat Returns" one of my favorite
Ghibli movies, after all, he is a little prince to me.
