About
five years ago, an abandoned tuxedo cat showed up in our back yard,
beautiful, however extremely scared. We named it 'Sylvester' (for Sylvester
the cat). Always hiding under the shed. We already had two adopted cats.
Sylvester kept its distance. The afternoon of October 10, 2009 Sylvester left
me a 'present', thinking it was going to be a dead rat, went to the courtyard
to only find out what I thought was a 'dead baby possum,' but looking closely
I realized it was a baby kitten, eyes still closed. That was Brownie.
Sylvester came back shortly after with another kitten, 'Felix.' This time
Sylvester followed me to the Florida room, where we had secured Brownie. Yes
we realized then, Sylvester was Sylvia, she walked in and made it her home ever since.
Brownie is affectionate to me, more so when she wants something. She seems to
be interested in strangers but does keep her distance. She loves to watch
everything from the bay windows. She is very playful; she get a sudden burst
of energy and attacks her toys, especially soccer ball (cat size) that rolls
under a small space. Brownie is very affectionate. She plays with the carpet,
goes underneath or attacks it. Brownie is flirtatious, strikes poses acting
as a model, through the branches, or leaves looking straight at you. Brownie
loves to chase leaves, the other morning we had strong winds, and she went
wild chasing them.
