Buzz
came to me on September 24, 2012 when he was about two to three weeks old. I was
still reeling from losing two of the most special cats I have ever had, Bob
who got run over on November 15, 2011 at thirteen months old.
When Bob was about nine months old, Sugar came to us, and he was a mini Bob. I
fell in love with him, and he and Bob became great buddies. When Bob got
killed, I thought I was going to die. I put all my heart into Sugar to get
through it. On February 1, a Sunday, I had a wonderful day, spent at home,
and Sugar helped me work in the garage in the 70 degree weather. I went in
about 4 pm, took a shower, went back out to check on Sugar and found him dead
on the patio. I have no idea what happened. Then I was sure I was going to
die. I even went to counseling when I was not getting better after a few months.
Then Buzz came into my life and he has healed my heart. He just came through
my fence one day. I hesitated when I sent the picture because his nose is
dirty, but that's just Buzz. He plays outside a lot and I have to clean him
up a lot. A few weeks after I took him in, he had ringworm, and we made it
through that without any of the rest of us getting it!
When he was nine months old, he disappeared early one morning. I could not
believe it was happening all over again. Thirteen days later, he woke me up
at 5:15 am when he burst through the doggie door yelling "MOM" at the top of
his lungs! He had been trapped somewhere where he obviously had water, but no
food. He plastered himself to my chest so firmly that it took almost an hour
before I could get him far enough away from me to inspect him for damage.
Other than being rail thin, he seemed to be ok.
A couple of months later, JoJo came to us and she and Buzz are buddies, and
we are all one happy family. He just runs in and out, plays with his sister
JoJo, and sleeps. The good life!
