Mabel was born a barn cat and we are told her sweet momma was hit by a car when she was tiny. She was bottle-raised until she came to live with us at six weeks old.
It didn't take Mabel long to settle in and make the house her own. She is extremely feisty and her favorite thing to do beside bug hunt is to "help" me in my workouts.
She loves all fruit so I have to be careful around her to keep things that are bad for her out of her line of sight. She does not believe she is supposed to be a carnivore, not an omnivore! First thing every morning, Mabel doesn't beg for food like most cats. Her first priority is a stretched-out tummy rub.
Mabel hates to be alone and is a little afraid of outside. Sometimes she will climb in my lap for a nap or to "nurse" on my hand for a while, a behavior left over from her days as a little orphaned kitten. She has brought so much joy to our lives and we think she's the most beautiful, special cat in the world.
