I'm Taz, queen of my home. My mum rescued me when I was young, I had recently had kittens and was left at a veterinary practice, and I was desperate for a proper home. Mum chose me and 17 years later I am still happy. My “sister” Gracie spoils the peacefulness of our home but she is young, she will learn to behave soon, I hope.
I used to be naughty and catch birds, but now they are my friends, every day a group of pidgeons and doves visit my garden for food. They don't mind me and I let them eat, we have a good understanding. I'm a little cat but I have a big personality. I'm not a bully but unless other cats are prepared to follow my rules I will ensure they don't stay in my garden, drink out of my pond or chase my birds.
At 18 I am beginning to slow a bit, my kidneys aren't working properly and Mum insists on feeding me special biscuits. They don't taste the best but they do make me feel better. I was only just starting to feel better after i had my thyroid removed but I suppose old age doesn't come on its own. I still wander out of the garden, but i have to be careful, I'm a little deaf and our neighbourhood fox always keeps his eye on me.
I am glad for the sunny days so I can warm my fur, I like the rain and we get plenty of it here in Wales, but nothing beats the sun on my fur. The best thing about outside is that Gracie is too scared to go out so I have peace and quiet.
I have a little summer house that Mum bought me last year and I have many beds, I suppose I am a bit spoilt but I love my Mum and she loves me.
Lots of Love,
Queen Taz
