This is Mira, one of our cats. She is about two years old now and demands the belly pets! She is the surrogate Mom to four of our kittens and does not like when we go near her babies. She is very spoiled and LOVES meeting new people- more pets!
While she isn't our first Tuxedo cat she definitely is the most affectionate. We got her while fostering another kitten named Chewy. Right after finding him a home, one of our neighbors brought us Mira as a kitten. When she was around eight weeks old we had set up a hopeful forever home for her. We decided to keep her when we found out the lady who wanted to adopt her intended to use her for breeding purposes. She was going to keep her outside (on a busy street!) at eight weeks old, hoping that Mira would get pregnant & have babies the lady could sell. Having helped local vets with fostering kittens during kitten season, we didn't want something terrible to happen to Mira. She always was very affectionate and playful from the start.
Mira was very helpful when we got new kittens to take care of and ended up getting so attached she wouldn't leave them alone. She would start crying for them if they even wandered into another room. She loves to play with stuffed animals and carries them around in her mouth. She gives them as presetns and acts as though she fought and killed this giant rat or the fluffy dinosaur all on her own. She has become the designated greeter of the house as, any time any door opens, she has to stop you to say hello and get as much attention as possible.
