My name is Luna but my human mom and pop often call me Luna-Bob - I think that is because my favorite toy is a tiny Spongebob pillow. Whenever I play with the pillow, I make what my mom describes as loud happy squeaks, and I can carry on for a really long time.
I was found in an abandoned barn, locked in a cage with no food or water. There were several of us and we were all rescued by a wonderful organization known as SMAWL (St. Mary's Animal Welfare League). At six months old I had a litter of four kittens. SMAWL took care of me, my babies and also the other cats from the barn.
My foster parents already had four cats, but decided I could stay with them until I found my fur-ever home. You know the rest ... hey fell in love and ended up adopting me. I share space with two brothers and two sisters. Although, I have fun playing with my siblings, they are not amused and often find my energy exhausting, even annoying. I was never allowed to be a kitten during my "kitten years" so now I'm making up for lost time. I'm the smallest cat of the lot, but I have worked my way to the "top" and I feel I must constantly remind all family members who is "boss." Yes, I can be obnoxious, but I know no other way.
I have free reign of the house and can sleep anywhere I please (except for the kitchen counter - ha, ha!). Food and water are always available but my favorite days are Wednesday and weekends because I get canned food. Yippee!
My mom is a potter and I love to assist her while she works in her studio. My helping out consists of supervising, mainly because I keep a close eye on her every movement. When she is on the potter's wheel I sit very quietly on my perch and I watch with keen interest - maybe someday I will be a potter too?
